MILITARY CONSTRUCTION
Why
with sandwich technology
All of the AVILA-branded Rhibs have been designed for severe applications and are therefore virtually indestructible and able to guarantee much higher standards than a normal recreational product. For this reason the construction is always made of sandwich with the introduction of cores that increase the thickness of the product, increasing its mechanical strength.
The supporting structure.
The structure of each boat AVILA is realized with ordered and longherons in okumè marine plywood. This structure is made imputrescible and integral to the hull with multiple layers of glass spaced by multiaxial fabrics, also in carbon, using exclusively vinylester resin.
The resin
Only vinyl ester
All AVILA boats are made exclusively of vinylester resin. This resin has the characteristic to improve the mechanical capacity of the stratification and to make AVILA boats totally unassailable from the osmosis, even in case of live damaged work
High Power
The high capacity of the structure of each vessel AVILA justifies the unusual power applicable to every vessel on the site. A much higher power than common competition. A 6 meter AVILA can also install 2 engines for a total power up to 280 hp, which become 700 hp for 7.5 meters and even 1450 hp for 9 meters.
Low center of gravity
The use of an oversized supporting structure gives each boat of the shipyard a particularly low centre of gravity, due to the fact that all parts of the superstructure lose their original structural function. Most of the weight of the boat, so built, is carried by the structure and the hull, with a significant increase in weight stability.
AVILA
The particularly low centre of gravity gives AVILA a higher stability and better behaviour in challenging marine situations.
Stable and Safe
FAST HULL
Better stability also guarantees higher performance. Speed is a pleasure. When the hull is then designed to be fast even on sea size becomes a feature that increases safety because it allows you to return to port faster leaving bad weather behind. And to do it safely.
SAFETY
represents a priority for all the Rhibs AVILA

Any means of transport is safe above all if it does not break, even in extreme situations of operation. A boat AVILA does not break. Never.
The ergonomics increases the safety
Each element on board an AVILA boat has been carefully designed and experienced in the military field to ensure efficiency and ease of use. All this increases on-board security, reducing the time of every single operation, even the most banal.

DESIGN
The design of the AVILA RHIBs is very refined. They are boats that stand out for being the result of a careful design to every detail.
ERGONOMIC AND MODULAR
The Vessels are treated with attention to detail to ensure the best functionality on board with new solutions such as the bow sundeck convertible into a comfortable sofa, with comfortable and safe seats.
CONFIGURATIONS
All AVILA boats are available in at least 3 standard configurations that meet most of the needs of the sailor and the sportsman. The Combat, with more space to walk on, is also an excellent working vehicle for diving, while the Avant is the perfect open, practical and performance. The Avant-L is an excellent day cruiser, thanks also to the presence of a toilet inside the console (where available).
The cabin, finally, available for the Tuono class, is an excellent means also to face pleasant cruises with family or friends.

Quality
only the best
Any avila dinghy is equipped with a first choice hypalon-neoprene tubular, of the highest quality and of a high grammage, however equal to or greater than 1670 dtex.
More space
The tapering of the tubular generates a smaller overall dimensions of the boat that will be more practical to manoeuvre, both outside and inside the water, ensuring moreover a better habitability.
TUONO Type 9
The Tubular
tapered to bow
This is a characteristic of all AVILA vessels: the tube is strongly tapered towards the bow. It is a technical and not aesthetic choice, although stylistically this solution gives the boat greater elegance and makes it distinguishable. But the choice is, as said, technical: the aerodynamics is better and feels less than the wind, especially at the traverse; a better aerodynamics results in better performance; moreover, the smaller diameter of the round section of bow allows the bottaccio to refract the splashes of the waves, helping to ensure a more dry navigation; being, finally, dinghies designed to navigate quickly even with sea size, the smaller forward section of the tubular allows to have a correct front impact and never excessive, allowing higher cruising speeds than a traditional dinghy and with higher comfort.

The exclusive technology
(the brevet)
To get an idea of the meaning and utility of the carrier hull below are the photographs of the same boat first as a tender and then transformed into the vessel that in August 2018 wins the record on the route Monaco-Venice for boats up to 9 meters. The hull of the boat is the same, different engines, 2x175 hp in the first case, 2x200 hp in the second, but above all the capacity of the petrol tanks has changed from 350 to 2230 liters in addition to several other changes clearly visible in the photographs.
The self-supporting hull
Basically
The advantages of the carrier hull are innumerable. First of all, each boat is completely customizable in a radical way. Then that boat can be born with a configuration and become a second destination of use, for the change of needs of the old or the new owner. In addition, the on-board plant engineering is easier to realize in "open shell" and is easily expandable or convertible. Not to mention the possible damages of the work alive: with this technology the repair will be ex novo because you can intervene on both sides of the hull; an operation impossible for a traditional hull.
of Tuono Class
Any boat or dinghy in vtr that is not an AVILA submits to an ancient construction law: the hull and the blanket must be glued together definitively, therefore the product that arises will remain unchanging over time.
AVILA changed this rule.
This is how the self-supporting hull, called "self-supporting hull", was born, that is a hull structured in a way to be independently operating at 100%. All superstructures are bolted and are always removable and replaceable.
The self-supporting hull
TUONO
CUSTOM
Thanks to the mode of“self supporting hull”, TUONO Class vessels are really customizable, not only in colors and small details, but also in the very vocation of the medium by literally transforming the configuration, from tourism to work. You can actually ask anything you want and you will have it as you want
The auto-carrying hull
Not only tuono
this technology was born for the tuono class, bit it is already available for the
Grifo class
Low-pressure hatching provides a key advantage: the boat will remain lighter. On the contrary, much lighter than the competition. With better efficiency, lower consumption, higher performance. And it will be, however, a totally unsinkable boat.
Totally Unsinkable
The technology of the foam
The supporting hull allows to have another fundamental advantage: the skimming of the low pressure hull. In fact, the possibility of working in an open shell allows to foam the boat for compartments, keeping the structure unchanged and all at low cost. Normally polyurethane, in a traditional boat, must be injected at high pressure to reach, through the few injection points, all available areas. And, always in a traditional boat, the structure must be less to allow the dissemination of the foam, which assumes a partly structural function. Thus, traditionally, the injection of polyurethane takes place at about 100 kg/mc. In the case of an AVILA, the skimming takes place at about 1/5 of that weight.
low pressure
The tests
All this technology, so sophisticated and innovative, needed to be severely tested. The idea of subjecting the Thunder, built with a self-supporting hull and fully foamed with the application of all the new technologies AVILA, to an extraordinary stress test: take part in a world record of long-range speed, that is for about 30 hours of continuous navigation and facing every weather-marine condition. The side effect of this stress test was staggering: no problems were encountered on the boat and the previous record was exceeded about 3 hours.
At the first attempt
the record
With a standard hull, with petrol outboard motor, rigorously standard (2 Suzuki DF 200), with standard propellers (Suzuki), the Tuono type 9 beat, at the beginning of August 2018, the world speed record on the Montecarlo-routeVenice, until then held by the FB design yard of Fabio Buzzi, surpassing the previous record of more than 3 hours.
On board there were Alberto Bonin, Gianluca Chiari and Franco Chiari.
On the ground, in tactical direction, there were: Alessandro Di lelio, Marco and Angelo Sala.

Deep-V hull
Only deep-V Hull
A deep “V” hull ensures safety and comfort.
This type of hull is used exclusively in high-speed work vehicles. The reason is that a keel“V” deep (with an angle of deadrise aft higher than 21,5°) can keep with sea size, safely, higher speeds than a traditional hull. The Thunder Class, for example, has a stern dihedral of 26°.
multi-stepped hull technology:
The hull efficiency is improved, depending on the model, by the technology“multi stepped hull”. These are transversal steps that increase at high speeds the immersed part of the living work while reducing the friction thus obtaining a more stable and efficient means

Traditional bow
Entering the wave can cause a“drawbar effect” which can put the boat in conditions of undergoing a dangerous “spin out” (overturning)
Trimming bow
Entering the wave increases its wet length by reducing the possibilities of creating “spin out” (overturning)
